The Heavenly Choir welcomed a new member on Tuesday, July 16, 2019 when Charlotte Mae Hall 86, went to be with her Savior Jesus Christ. She was a long time resident of Meeker, Oklahoma.

Charlotte was born on August 4, 1932, the second of six children to Floyd & Ethel (Smith) Cook in Shawnee.

Since early childhood, Charlotte was blessed with musical talent, playing the piano and organ and sharing her sweet voice at church. Her service to God began as a member of the Hazel Dell Baptist church and then Mammoth Baptist Church, where she was the church organist for many years.

Charlotte's family was the joy of her life, and she was their steadfast anchor in times of celebration and sorrow. She was know as "gee" to her grandchildren, great grandchildren, or others who joined her circle of care. There was always an extra place at her table for anyone needing a meal or a word of advice. (no charge for either!)

She and Eddie shared their interest in horses and rodeos. She was the Meeker Rodeo Queen from 1953-1957. They regularly attended the Rodeo Finals and timed events at the Lazy E Arena in Guthrie. In their horse-drawn buggy, Eddie and Charlotte were a familiar sight at Meeker parades.
